These pellets smell so very much like rosemary that I am tempted to eat one. I usually use chips. Most of the time, I use apple, mesquite, hickory, cherry, maple or alderwood. However, none of them smell or infuse the scent they are named after. These are way different. One could almost put these out instead of a candle to make a room smell fresh.

I love BBQing chicken using rosemary. I will sometimes baste it using a garlic butter sauce while using a few fresh sprigs of rosemary as the brush/baster but sometimes, I don’t have fresh rosemary. These pellets are a great alternative. I added a bit every 10 minutes or so to my charcoal grill and got a very nice, smoky rosemary taste. I can’t wait to use it in my electric smoker. They will also work great in a pellet smoker.
